4. Owl cafes

A great ambiance that give you the feels – a little part of the wizardry world. We personally went to the Owl Cafe called, Fukuro No Mise, in Tokyo, Japan. At Fukuro No Mise, they were playing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on television. How can you not feel a little part of wizardry world when you interact with the owls and have them stand on your shoulder? They are riddikulus-ly cute!

Go to “Hogwarts,” literally! You can have an utlitmate wizardry experience at this castle in Czocha, Poland. This brilliant place is organized by two different organizations, Liveform and Rollespils Fabrikken. It’s a four days event, where you can play a student at this magical school and do a live action role play. You can pretend to be your character and create your own stories. For an instance, you can choose whether you want to be a professor, a student or a magical creature. Let’s be Sirius, how can this not make you feel intrigued?!

As they said,

“Magical may not be real, but we still can do something magical together.”

Upcoming event will happen on November 26-29th, 2015. You can get your tickets here. Mischief managed.

These places sound like a lot of fun! I haven’t read the books or seen any of the movies. I want to try to get into the books though.

It was worth it! They were so adorable, even when they are little tired and grumpy haha. Thank you for reading our post!

  5. Thanks for mentioning the castle in Poland. Poland should definitely get more visitors than it does. It’s got everything – the sea, the mountains, the plains, and the lakes. If anyone is looking for Harry Potter places in Europe, there’s the Warner Bros studio as well, of course. Fascinating place. It seems they saved all the props they ever used!

    1. deafinitelywanderlust

I knew I just have to mention about it! I heard how beautiful Poland is, and hopefully we will visit Poland in the future. I’m glad they saved all the props! It must be fascinating to see it up close. I’ll be squealing in excitement when I visit the Warner Bros Studio! (: Thank you for reading our post!

My travel partner and I regularly have Harry Potter marathons. The series stimulates our imaginations to the point of inspiration. If only I had a flying broom.

I love this article and I know a few Harry Potter lovers who will love it as well. That hostel is incredible. If I wasn’t a nomad (and I actually HAD a bedroom to call my own), I might just decorate it Hogwarts style.

I hadn’t heard of any of those places, except the hotel, and I’m not really that much of a fan of Harry Potter.. But I’d still love to visit all of them! The hotel would be awesome to sleep in!

  20. Revati

Previously I used to think these themed locations were a bit of a marketing ploy, but I’m increasingly seeing the merit in presenting them through this lens. They’re absolutely gorgeous and you’re right, when it’s a film or book that you’re familiar with, it only makes the experience that much more enjoyable!

  21. Not really a fan of Harry Potter but would still love to check out that Owl Cafe in Tokyo, Japan. That’s something new to me!

  22. Great photos, this looks like a lot of fun. This makes me want to start planning our next family vacation 🙂

OMG. I want to go to all of these. I wish the hogwarts college was around when I was deciding where to go to school….

  28. I love Harry Potter! Thanks for reminding me of Whimsic Alley, I forgot it existed and we’ll be in California next month so I might try to stop by. We’re also doing the WB studio tour in LA and while they don’t have a Harry Potter one like in London (that would be epic), they do have some Harry Potter stuff there that I’m looking forward to seeing.
